Call Forth Your Evolutionary Heart
Talk by Dr. Larry Ward
Honoring the touchstones of wisdom from those who came before us, Dr. Ward's inspiration for this month's talk comes from W.B. Yeats and his renowned poem, "The Second Coming". The poem, published in 1919 during postwar Europe, shows a remarkable capacity to relate to the complexities and the challenges of our current times.
For Dr. Ward, the poem's "rough beast" is the protagonist for our collective transformation and healing. They speak the language of non-dominion. They echo fear in the hearts of those who have dominated or who wish to dominate. In the midst of an unstable center, they are the people in their homes and communities working together to envision the world we want.
The evening will begin with a guided meditation from Peggy Rowe Ward, Lotus Institute co-founder and senior dharma teacher. If you can’t attend, register anyways and we will send you the recording.
