Befriending the Body Workshop
with Peggy Rowe Ward & Mona Abutaleb
Our bodies are integral to our spiritual and mindfulness practice, yet many of us have not been taught how to bring them into the conversation in a deeper way.
Join Peggy and Mona for a 90-minute experience of "Befriending the Body". In this embodiment workshop, you will learn the tools to connect and develop a compassionate relationship with your body. Through self-inquiry and slow, gentle, and relaxing exercises, you'll discover how to listen to your body, integrate your body's wisdom and build your own daily somatic practice.
Suitable for all ages. No prior experience in somatics required.

Peggy offers a variety of embodied meditation practices in the tradition of Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh and beyond. Embodied meditation refers to a lived experience of spirituality that is grounded in the body. It's about integrating meditation into our daily life. Peggy began practicing meditation in college and it took her a while to realize that there was nothing to "get". She learned that the key is to relax into our body and to lean into our own natural radiance. She loves to lead the practice and to sit in community.
