The Wonder of Joy | Guided Meditation with Peggy Rowe Ward

The Wonder of Joy

Sit With Me monthly meditations

🌻 I am here to bring you peace, you are here to bring me joy 🌻

Join us for this 30-minute online meditation on cultivating joy, led by Peggy Rowe Ward, co-founder of the Lotus Institute, senior dharma and meditation teacher, and author of Love’s Garden: A Guide to Mindful Relationships.

Loving kindness, compassion, joy and equanimity are unlimited states of mind. When nurtured, they can grow and remain forever immeasurable. Research shows that experiencing another person's happiness can activate our brain's reward system, leading to a greater sense of well-being, an increase in life satisfaction, and a drive to help foster a more compassionate and just society.

The more you cultivate joy, the more joy you will feel in your body and the more joy you will want to share.

Suitable for all ages and experience levels. Invite a friend to join you so that we may share the practice of meditation and the wonder of joy.

Meet the teacher

Peggy Rowe Ward (she/her) offers a variety of embodied meditation practices in the tradition of Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh and beyond. Embodied meditation refers to a lived experience of spirituality that is grounded in the body. It's about integrating meditation into our daily life. In our monthly Sit With Me meditations, we will explore practices that will help us do just that! Peggy began practicing meditation in college and it took her a while to realize that there was nothing to "get". She learned that the key is to relax into our body and to lean into our own natural radiance. She loves to lead the practice and to sit in community.
