The 10 Worlds: Part 1 | Talk by Dr. Larry Ward

DHARMA

The 10 Worlds

The Neuroscience of States & Traits

Join us for this online talk by Dr. Larry Ward, poet, author and senior spiritual teacher. This is part 1 of a 2-part series on the Buddhist story of The 10 Worlds.

For this first session, Larry will share his interpretations of the lower realms, including an exploration of the neuroscience of human states and traits behind each. In total, the 10 worlds are a vision for how we move through life. From lowest to highest: (1) hell-dwellers, (2) hungry spirits, (3) animals, (4) demigods, (5) humans, (6) heavenly beings, (7) voice-hearers, (8) realized ones, (9) bodhisattvas, and (10) buddhas.

The event will also include meditations from Peggy Rowe Ward. Try to attend live for the full experience. A recording will be emailed to Lotus members and everyone who registers.
